About The Job
Are you a proficient Linux System Administrator with a passion for managing complex IT infrastructures? We're seeking a skilled professional to join our team and drive excellence in system administration, scripting, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Linux-based servers and systems across our organization.
Perform security vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies.
Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and monitoring purposes.
Ensure system stability, scalability, security, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and services.
Provide vulnerability remediation solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
5-8 years proven experience as a Linux System Administrator
In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (RedHat, Rocky, Ubuntu, etc.) and server administration
Experience with security vulnerability checks and implementing remediation measures
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, etc
Strong understanding of networking protocols and configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies (VMware, FlexCloud)
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive problem resolution
Works with other System Administrators to resolve their server vulnerabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with configuration management tools (CFEngine)
Knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Familiarity with Operating System Logging and Alarming (SACT, Splunk)
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios)
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LPIC, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
USA citizen
USA government public trust security clearance or at least ability to pass security clearance scrutiny (mandatory)
Our Lead Technology Security, earns between $116,700.00-$196,100.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
