DUTIES: Develop Natural Language Processing based machine learning models to analyze various textual data and provide actionable insights. Research and develop several un-supervised machine learning models: Local Outlier Factor, k-means clustering, and Isolation Forests to detect anomalies in different datasets. Build predictive machine learning models to detect outage root cause and estimate time for outage restoral. Analyze utility networks: power, gas, and telecommunications. Utilize programming languages: R, Python, and Java to develop machine learning models. Identify and locate data needed for analysis. Perform data cleansing, data quality assessment, and analytics for data assessments. Work with large volumes of structured and un-structured data using distributed computing tools: Hadoop MapReduce, Spark, and Hive SQL to extract, manipulate and analyze data. Build data pipelines in platforms to create business and model ready datasets: Hadoop, Azure, AWS, and Databricks. Leverage advanced data analysis and visualization techniques using Python and SQL to process and analyze large datasets. Create ad-hoc reports and identify opportunities to leverage company data and drive business solutions. Construct and architect data models, lead projects, and mentor junior members of the team. Produce data science artifacts and prototypes.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Analytics and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation building predictive machine learning models to detect outage root cause and estimate time for outage restoral; analyzing utility networks: power, gas, and telecommunications; utilizing programming languages: R, Python, and Java to develop machine learning models; identifying and locating data needed for analysis; performing data cleansing, data quality assessment, and analytics for data assessments; leveraging advanced data analysis and visualization techniques using Python and SQL to process and analyze large datasets; creating ad-hoc reports and identifying opportunities to leverage company data and drive business solutions; and constructing and architecting data models, leading projects, and mentoring junior members of the team.
