Join our dynamic Enterprise Remote Access team in a Senior Cybersecurity position, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding AT&T's networks. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional well-versed in various VPN and network access control systems.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal team members, IT partners, and business leads to implement and maintain secure access solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in resolving connectivity issues for end users, ensuring seamless and secure network access. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will be responsible for conducting technical proof of concepts, rigorous testing, lab work, and various technical tasks to support our secure access programs.
This position demands a high level of technical proficiency and experience in cybersecurity, covering products, services, infrastructure, networks, and applications. You will be entrusted with protecting AT&T, our customers, and our vendors/partners. By working on diverse projects, you will contribute to the security of devices, assets, data, and networks, reinforcing AT&T's commitment to cybersecurity excellence.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
The T3 support engineer reviews and responds to requests for VPN assistance from other domestic and international help desk/support organizations. This may involve gathering additional information/detail, performing triage, using critical thinking skills to find and solve issues, or routing the issue to another support organization.
The T3 support engineer works closely with the following groups.
Tier 1/2 support desk personnel to help them become more efficient and effective in resolving issues at first contact.
VPN client and infrastructure SMEs to obtain a sound understanding of the VPN technology in terms of provisioning requirements and processes, installation and configuration, and end-user connectivity requirements and processes.
Various organizational SMEs to develop effective user guides, helpdesk guides, and troubleshooting guides for support desks and end users, as well as provide technical training to these groups.
Tracks issues where necessary to resolution.
Establishes relationships with other internal support organizations (e.g. helpdesk leads, IQ Bar Leads, field support leads, etc.).
Participates in SWATs and Call to Work calls related to VPN related outages.
Creates and executes queries in Splunk to identify user activities and trends related to VPN usage.
The position reports directly to the Associate Director over the VPN team and works closely with the SMEs knowledgeable on both the Palo Alto Global Protect platform and the Cisco AnyConnect and ISE platforms.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or cybersecurity preferred; equivalent experience equal to 5 years of infrastructure and /or application support may be considered in lieu of degree.
3 – 5 years of experience with firewalls, VPN, proxies, and desktop defense concepts.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
Team-oriented thinking with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team.
Ability to develop both internal/technical and customer facing documentation using Microsoft office applications.
Requires on site presence at the listed location. No relocation assistance is provided.
Preferred
Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls (including Global Protect), Cisco AnyConnect, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
Familiarity with creating and executing Splunk queries.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python) or automation tools for managing firewalls at scale.

Our Senior Cybersecurity earns between $116,700.00-$175,100.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
