This career step requires senior level experience. A Kanban Coach / Scrum Master is the servant leader of multiple agile teams, guiding them in the use of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to enhance team performance and delivery for our business partners and stakeholders in the Cricket IT organization.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Agile Guidance: Guides multiple agile teams on how to use Agile Scrum and Kanban practices effectively to maximize self-organization and team productivity.
Maturity Assessment: Assesses the maturity of the agile teams, providing support and coaching to elevate their maturity at a sustainable and comfortable pace.
Impediment Removal: Removes obstacles and guides the teams on how to remove impediments to ensure smooth workflow.
Facilitation of Agile Ceremonies: Facilitates and leads Agile ceremonies such as Daily Standups, Demonstrations, Story Point Estimations, Retrospectives, Iteration Planning, and Backlog Grooming. Additionally, facilitates Kanban-specific practices like visualizing work, managing flow, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, helping teams to reflect and adapt processes regularly.
Collaboration: Collaborates with team members without assuming roles such as manager, lead developer, Project Manager, or Product Owner.
External Shielding: Shields the teams from external distractions, enabling them to focus on their commitments.
Empowerment: Empowers teams to be creative while ensuring quality and monitoring progress towards iteration goals.
Representation: Represents the teams to management and disseminates relevant information, including metrics and charts.
Organizational Process Improvement: Works with other Scrum Masters and Kanban Coaches to drive organizational process improvements.
Safe Environment: Builds and maintains a trusting and safe environment where issues can be raised without fear of blame or retribution.
Overseeing Multiple Teams: Oversees and coordinates the work of multiple Kanban teams, ensuring alignment of practices and goals across teams and facilitating inter-team collaboration and communication.
Job Contribution: Senior level technical expertise with deep knowledge and subject matter expertise in Agile methodologies, including both Scrum and Kanban.
Education: Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Technical, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5-8+ years of experience in Agile coaching or similar roles. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.
Supervisory: No.
This position is located in Atlanta, GA. There is No Relocation assistance provided.
Our Lead Scrum Masters earn between $128,400 - $192,600 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
