Overall Purpose: Perform comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions by analyzing and interpreting tax legislation, ensuring regulatory adherence and strategic tax efficiency to minimize the organization’s legal tax liabilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Tax Compliance and Reporting: Oversee and ensure accurate, timely preparation and submission of all tax returns (federal, state, local, and international). Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities. • Tax Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with the company’s financial goals. Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise on tax implications of business decisions. • Team Leadership and Management: Lead tax team, ensuring task delegation and deadline adherence. Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development. • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with finance to integrate tax planning with overall financial strategy. Analyze financial data to forecast tax liabilities and prepare reports for senior management. • Other Duties as Assigned: Develop and maintain tax policies, manage tax software, control tax department budgets, and participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as required.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
