Principal Tech Category Procurement Management - Mobile Devices & Accessories

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Category Strategy and Market Analysis:Develop and maintain category-specific strategies and plans for highly technical categories, conduct market research, identify and assess risks and opportunities, and forecast demand for Mobile Devices & Accessories.
Supplier Management and Contract Negotiation:Establish contract standards, support the negotiation of key contracts, understand and incorporate technical specifications and requirements.
Collaborative Innovation and Cross-Functional Coordination:Drive collaborative innovation with internal stakeholders, supply chain, and suppliers. Interface with cross-functional teams including senior leadership.
Performance Monitoring and Process Improvement:Monitor KPIs using data analytics to track category and supplier performance, implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Cost Management and Spend Solutions Strategies:Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, develop tail spend management strategies, leverage technological platforms for efficient buying channel management.
Job Contribution:
Expert in the field, applying broad business knowledge and strategic insight to solve complex problems and drive organizational results.
Leads critical, high-impact projects, designs, and implements innovative business strategies.
Works with minimal oversight, frequently consulting senior leadership and influencing executive decisions.
Serves as a mentor and assists others with challenging issues.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or advanced degree desired in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Typically, 7+ years of professional experience in the relevant category, with a strong focus on procurement supply chain management and category management in highly technical fields.
Proven track record of managing large-scale initiatives, successful supplier negotiation and relationship management, and cost-saving initiatives.
