About the Role:
The position within the Chief Security Office (CSO), is pivotal for maintaining the integrity and seamless functionality of AT&T's Enterprise Security infrastructure. It requires a seasoned professional adept in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of firewalls and network systems. The individual will oversee the administration of firewall policy activities. The role is designed for someone capable of managing highly complex projects, providing emergency round-the-clock technical support, and delivering exceptional customer service and project management in a dynamic setting. The engineer will collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including vendors, business partners, and application developers, to conduct technical evaluations, analyses, and effective problem resolution. This role is instrumental in guiding intricate projects and initiatives that bolster the security and operational capabilities of AT&T and its affiliates.
The individual in this role requires extensive experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting all aspects of TCP/IP network configurations and firewalls across all of the following technologies: Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco or Fortinet. The Senior Engineer will support as well as assist in managing complex projects/migrations/initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities include:
Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting TCP/IP network setups and Enterprise Firewall policies to facilitate the company's ongoing operations.
Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AT&T's Enterprise firewall environment, offering security project consulting to aid new business ventures. This includes liaising with stakeholders, vendors, and application developers for technical evaluations, analyses, and troubleshooting.
Conducting analysis of intricate security issues and firewall configurations and executing engineering tasks aimed at minimizing operational and security risks to the organization. Providing 24x7 on-call technical support on a rotational basis, ensuring continuous protection and assistance for the network infrastructure.
These positions demand a proactive approach to network security, ensuring seamless and secure business processes.
Required Skills:
Over 8 years of experience in Firewall & Infrastructure Security Engineering
Extensive experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting TCP/IP network configurations and firewalls, with proficiency in Firewall/IDPS/VPN technologies such as Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet.
Excellent skills in customer service are required to thrive in this highly technical and fast-paced environment.

Operates well under pressure and urgent circumstances
Self-reliant and diligent in follow-through for assigned tasks

CISSP, CISM, SANS GIAC or relevant cybersecurity
Flexible to provide coverage in US morning hours on a need-basis, and as required
Experience working in an environment where coordination with multiple teams is essential to success
Ability to prioritize individual/group work in a high-stress and time-bound environment
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics. Computer Science or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
