Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community by providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video, and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.
AT&T has an opening for a Communication Security (COMSEC) Responsible Officer (CRO) to support the Intelligence Sector.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The CRO is responsible for maintaining assigned COMSEC account equipment and KeyMat. The daily job duties include the following:
Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades utilizing the customer ticketing application (ServiceNow)
Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan in accordance with (IAW) COMSEC policy, and an authorized COMSEC access list
Ensure cryptographic equipment is keyed IAW the supporting key’s effective and supersession dates
Ensure TPI requirements are followed when handling Top Secret COMSEC material
Establish a comprehensive COMSEC training program for all briefed individuals
Implement standard network change requests and incident requests within standard timelines
Maintain accountabilities for all COMSEC material issued to their subaccount
Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and inventoried
Prepare a written emergency plan detailing how COMSEC equipment should be handled in emergency situations; ensure COMSEC briefed personnel are properly trained on this document
Processes all transfer, destruction, & inventory documents in a timely manner; return paperwork to the program office
Report any known or suspected COMSEC incidents
Return all excess or faulty equipment within the appropriate time frames utilizing the appropriate security processes
Validate the continuing need for COMSEC material held on the account by creating a Requirements Letter

Required Qualifications:
The candidate must have 5 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a bachelor’s and 1 year, an associates and 3 years or a HS diploma and 5 years. Additional required qualifications include:
Must have certifications to meet minimum requirements for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification requirements; level 3 requirements are acceptable as well. Level II certifications must be obtained within six (6) months:
Certified Network Defender (CND)
COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA+)
COMPTIA Security+
GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA)
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
Desired Qualifications
Soft skills (experience with customer briefings), highly organized, problem solving, and self-motivated
Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals, crypto convert types [i.e., KG175, KG142, etc.], and ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products
Our COMSEC Responsible Officer's earn between $120,000-$140,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
