AT&T has an opening for aSecurity Operations Testing Engineer (SOTE) to support the Intelligence Sector.
This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Security Operations Testing Engineer (SOTE) is responsible for the validating the implementation of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 Rev 5 technical security controls for all Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) systems on the program.
The daily job duties are as follows:
Assist with metrics development and maintenance to support executive reporting of security events.
Coordinate with the information assurance team to identify secure configuration update requirements to close FISMA systems Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M).
Develop, maintain, and execute Certified Test Plans (CTP) with the Third-Party assessors for all network equipment within FISMA systems.
Development of Scan Mitigation Reports by analyzing enterprise vulnerability scans for all FISMA Systems.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications: Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years.
Additional required qualifications include:Must have certifications to meet minimum requirements for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification requirements; level 3 requirements are acceptable as well. Level II certifications must be obtained within six (6) months:
Certified Network Defender (CND).
COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA+).
COMPTIA Security+.
GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP).
Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA).
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
Desired Qualifications:
Configuration management and privileged user experience with servers, firewalls, routers, and switches desired.
Soft skills (experience with customer briefings), highly organized, problem solving, and self-motivated.

Our Security Operations Testing Engineer (IT Test and Evaluation Specialist II) (Government) earns between $89,200 - $135,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
