Implements corporate safety policies to comply with OSHA, EPA, or other environmental, safety or health requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
-Provides safety, health or environmental training to supervisors and work groups. Maintains records on lost time accidents and prepares appropriate reports. May also have some responsibility for DOT (Dept of Transportation) compliance where applicable.
-May implement hazardous waste control and disposal activities including training, collection, disposal and records maintenance, as well as conservation programs within the organization. Ensures compliance with government environmental, health and safety regulations.
-Conducts audits or surveys and recommends corrective action where occupational or environmental hazards exist. Responds to emergencies and investigates accidents and recommends corrective action. Completes required federal, state and local government reports relating to environmental, health or safety issues. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
-Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

Environmental Requirements:
This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&Ts compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
Our Sr Specialist Env/Health/Safety, earns between $96,000.00-$144,000.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
