As a Cybersecurity Network Security Engineer, you will design and certify an intent based network to embed security into AT&T’s ADI, ASEoD, Fiber and Mobility services, by leveraging our programmable network. The role will also implement security controls, policies and standards for core network that cover: Routing security, network compartmentalization etc., to reduce cyber risks and increase security controls to the core telecom network. This is a cyber first position and the candidate should have cyber security experience, education and/or certifications. Seasoned Cyber security professional with hands-on experience with network security including Incident management, cyber investigations, vulnerability remediation, Red team exercises, network segmentation and AAA.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Ideation, testing, proof of concept and support for various cyber related projects facing AT&T's core telecom network
Analysis, of complex security issues and the development and engineering activities to help mitigate risk
Analyzes various hardware and/or software solutions for the core telecom network recommending purchases and identifying modifications to fit AT&Ts cybersecurity needs and that of our operations teams
Develops policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion, malware events and vulnerability issues for internal and external customers
Applies measures to identify and block malicious code and applications
Includes forward looking research, planning and strategy to strengthen our stance against future cyber security threats and enhance our mitigation techniques and technology solutions.
Qualifications:
Preferred Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
Requires 8-10 years experience of related experience.
Security assessment experience with ability to thrive on US and MOW telecom wirelines/wireless network security concepts
Experience researching network vulnerabilities and proactively identifying security flaws on various network equipment
Experiences in penetration testing or Red Team exercises preferred
5G Network Core experience preferred
Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week) at one of the listed locations. No relocation assistance is provided
Our Principal Cybersecurity earns between $141,300-$237,400 annually, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
