The Director of Digital Integrated Planning will serve as the operational backbone of AT&T’s digital transformation efforts, ensuring that complex, enterprise-wide initiatives are seamlessly executed. This leader will be responsible for translating high-level strategic goals into tactical execution plans, optimizing capital investment, and ensuring that all projects and portfolios align with AT&T’s digital-first vision.
This role requires an exceptional project management leader who can develop and implement structured processes, drive cross-functional collaboration, and standardize portfolio management practices. With a proven track record in large-scale digital transformations, you will lead a team of integrated planners, providing clear, consistent, and impactful project outputs that drive measurable business value.
Your ability to challenge the status quo, coupled with PMP and Agile expertise, will be essential in establishing best-in-class project and portfolio management functions that become indispensable within six months.
This role is based in Dallas, Texas, requiring in-office presence 5 days/week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Portfolio Management
Lead the full lifecycle of projects and portfolios, ensuring alignment with AT&T’s strategic goals.
Implement Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies to optimize execution across initiatives.
Develop standardized processes and governance frameworks that drive consistency and efficiency.
Establish data-driven project performance metrics to enhance transparency and accountability.
Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve risks, blockers, and dependencies to maintain project momentum.
Strategic Planning & Capital Oversight
Align portfolio investments with AT&T’s long-term digital transformation roadmap.
Oversee capital planning and budget management, ensuring financial investments deliver maximum ROI.
Provide forecasting, financial tracking, and performance insights to executive leadership.
Team Leadership & Development:

Mentor and develop integrated planning professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
Leadership & Change Management

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, refining project execution frameworks based on lessons learned.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Partner with key stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to optimize resource allocation and ensure project alignment.
Communicate complex project and portfolio insights in a clear, digestible manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build strong relationships at all levels, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met and exceeded.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
10+ years of experience in project management, portfolio management, or capital planning within a digital organization.
5+ years of leadership experience, managing complex, cross-functional teams and initiatives.
Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformations in organizations of comparable scale to AT&T.
Certifications & Skills:
PMP and Agile certifications (or equivalent) highly preferred.
Deep expertise in project management software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Trello).
Strong financial acumen with experience in capital planning, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
Process standardization experience, with a track record of developing scalable, repeatable project management frameworks.
