JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

JOB LOCATION: 208 S Akard Street, Dallas, Texas 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

Duties: AT&T Services, Inc., is seeking a Lead Software Engineering in Dallas, Texas [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to drive the technical design and development of comprehensive, multi-platform application systems. Guide and support junior software engineers functionally, technical requirements and generate technical documentation for internal and external use. Work with enterprise architect to design and support a server-side analytics framework's high-level and low-level architecture for data consumers and third-party vendor analytics systems including Adobe, Tealium, and Snowflake.  Collaborate with other analytics team IT requirements with building and maintaining tools and applications. Ensure adherence to development, architecture, security, and compliance standards. Decompose architecture into actionable capabilities and features, advising the product owner on technical story aspects. Conduct advanced engineering tasks for optimization, deployment, and production maintenance. Provide performance evaluations and bottleneck analysis in production environments. Provide analytics product releases and manage weekly analytics-related tag updates across development, staging, and production environments, addressing defects and performance issues. Utilize a microservice architecture and deliver applications and tools using Node.js, Python, Core Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Express.js. Build scalable ETL pipelines and dashboards on Snowflake. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for smooth service interactions and create dashboards for reliability, observability, and issue resolution. Employ Azure EventHub, Kafka, and Redis messaging systems, and manage various Azure services. Work on migration projects from on-premises to the cloud environment, ensuring smooth collaboration with Microsoft and other teams. Utilize anomaly detection and implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for efficient microservice deployment. Automate tasks with shell scripting and monitor infrastructure and application performance with tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, and Elasticsearch. Provide Cloud-Based Microservices Development in crafting cloud-native microservices utilizing Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Express.js, and Core Java. Utilize RESTful API Development on creation and integration of RESTful APIs. Work with messaging and caching systems, specifically Kafka, Azure EventHub, and Redis. Utilize CI/CD Pipelines for setting up CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, alongside containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Use version control tool including Git and SVN. Work as Azure services expertise to leveraging Azure Services, including Azure Functions, Azure Databricks, Azure Storage, Azure App Insights, and Azure Firewalls, Azure Log Analytics, Azure monitoring. Manage databases including Snowflake and Cosmos DB, focusing on optimizing stored procedures and crafting dashboards and graphs. Utilize monitoring tools such as Grafana, Anomalo, Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, and Kibana. Work knowledge in Analytics domain, and experience using Adobe and Tealium analytics tools. Write Python scripts using PySpark on Azure Databricks to automate the ETL process and run the jobs periodically. Offer technical guidance, mentoring team members, and steering impactful design decisions. Conduct high-volume load and stress tests using SOASTA, pinpointing bottlenecks, and enhancing application performance. Work with agile practices including sprint planning and user story grooming. Write unit test cases, performing security scans, and ensuring software quality. Work and implement explore, evaluate, and onboard new technologies, proofs of concept, and methodologies to refine systems and processes.

Our Lead Software Engineering earn between $161,415 - $231,100 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
