Overview:

Are you an experienced financial analyst with a passion for data and complex problem-solving? We're looking for a Lead Financial Analyst to conduct and document intricate financial analysis projects. Work Schedule:  “This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted.  No relocation is offered”

Overall Purpose: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Tax Accountant responsible for analyzing and interpreting existing and upcoming tax legislation (federal and state) to identify opportunities to minimize the organization’s legal tax liabilities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax compliance functions within the organization, including federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Prepare, review, and file tax returns for federal and state income tax.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and complete records of all tax-related transactions.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits.
  • Provide tax guidance and advice to other departments within the organization, including finance, legal, and operations.
  • Conduct tax research to stay up-to-date with the latest changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Lead a team of tax accountants, providing guidance and mentoring to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to support tax-related projects and audits.
  • Monitor and analyze the organization's financial data to identify trends and opportunities for tax optimization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and tax authorities.

Job Contribution: The Lead Tax Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the organization's tax compliance and minimizing its tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities, and will communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency in tax software and other financial management tools such as Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, and Corptax.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • At least four to five years of experience in tax compliance or a related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and CPA Certification.

  • No.

Our Lead Tax Manager earns between $118,800.00 - $178,200.00 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
