Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer  

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard Street Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

Senior Software Engineer needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs. Responsible for the design and development of various initiatives for customer and employee digital experience across consumer distribution channels. Deliver innovative and reliable technology solutions to power differentiated and simplified customer experiences. Provide an intuitive and integrated experience for customers across online, retail, and care channels. Manage and lead the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and post-production support. Design modular and scalable web components. Lead large cross-organizational software development projects. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partner with teams to elaborate on solutions and interfaces. Develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Build code following unit testing and test-driven development. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Drive and participate in code and document review. Collaborate with peer organizations, dev ops, and support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. Interpret and translate business needs into technical requirements and accurate estimates. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure quality and performance. Work with teams to troubleshoot code level problems. Apply deep technical expertise to resolve programming and design problems. Focus on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes. Contribute to design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Contribute to technical roadmaps and technical debt elimination by balancing time, resources, and quality constraints to achieve business and strategic goals and requirements. Present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders. Build Java-based high-volume, high-transaction e-commerce applications. Build web applications using Java, Spring, and REST. Complete performance tuning and application monitoring. Contribute to the architecture and design of systems using Microservices. Utilize Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform. Use GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and Sonar. Perform unit and function testing using Junit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, and Postman. Work within Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development teams. Work with asynchronous message processing, stream processing, and event driven computing. Apply advanced knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS3.                         

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation designing modular and scalable web components; developing, analyzing, splitting, and realizing the implementation of enablers; building code following unit testing and test-driven development; establishing critical NFRs at the solution level and participating in the definition of others; interpreting and translating business needs into technical requirements and accurate estimates; contributing to design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software; building Java-based high-volume, high-transaction e-commerce applications; building web applications using Java, Spring, and REST; completing performance tuning and application monitoring; contributing to the architecture and design of systems using Microservices; utilizing Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform; using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and Sonar; performing unit and function testing using Junit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI, and Postman; working within Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development teams; working with asynchronous message processing, stream processing, and event driven computing; and applying advanced knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS3.

Our Senior Software Engineers earn between $167,049 - $231,100 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
