Technology Development Program

Our Technology Development Program (TDP) is focused on accelerating your career, transforming you from a student to a highly skilled technology professional. TDP includes roles as a Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Technical Business Manager, Systems & DevOps Engineer, and Network Engineer.  At this point in time, we only have remaining opportunities for our Network Engineer title in Dallas.

Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, you will spend your time partnering with the group responsible for the architecture, engineering, and operation of AT&T’s outstanding wireless and fiber-based networks. You will be creating, communicating, and implementing plans for voice, video, and data technologies to take AT&T to the next generation of automated self-managed networks. This group is our boots on the ground, and the foundation of AT&T’s business and legacy. By providing you with a wide breadth of technical and leadership experiences, connecting you with our strongest managers, along with exposure to executive leaders, our focus is to develop the technical leaders of tomorrow’s network. In this role you may be planning future cell locations for the latest Wireless 5G network, managing high-capacity router network growth, or creating the optical fiber build plans that enable broadband to stream video. To do this you will be analyzing data, working with vendors, and transforming information into a story, plan, and status, you can communicate to cross functional teams and leaders to help drive key decisions and keep complex projects on track.

Network Engineers are curious and multiskilled. Desired skill sets for this role include the ability to be comfortable with at least one programming language; data analysis techniques for data retrieval, manipulation, and visualization; a good understanding of automation fundamentals; knowledge and understanding of financials; and the ability to translate technical details into common terms.

So, what qualifications are we looking for in a candidate? We are looking for someone of integrity with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of internal and external leadership. You are a go-getter that likes to get your hands dirty. You are not afraid of a gritty experience and are hungry to overcome challenging situations. We value results-driven self-starters who can work effectively in multi-disciplinary environments throughout cross-functional teams. You will also need to be naturally curious about the many innovations being fostered at AT&T every day and be a lifelong learner.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). Inclusive of degrees meeting federal STEM classification codes.

Our Technology Development Program managers earn between $87,200 - $130,800 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
