Job Overview :-We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Automation Tester to join our quality assurance team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing advanced automation test strategies and frameworks while also leading performance testing initiatives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in automation and performance testing, a strong understanding of software development processes, and an eye for continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Test Automation Strategy and Execution:
- Design and implement comprehensive test automation strategies that align with business requirements and software development methodologies.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Ensure robust test coverage by collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand application requirements.
2. Performance Testing:
- Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies to evaluate application scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze results, and work with development teams to implement optimizations.
- Document and report performance test results with actionable recommendations.
3. Tool and Framework Management:
- Evaluate and integrate the latest automation testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Maintain and upgrade existing testing frameworks and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Test Planning and Reporting:
- Develop detailed test plans and create test cases that cover positive and negative scenarios.
- Report on testing progress, results, and defect status, providing insights and metrics to key stakeholders.
5. Mentorship and Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and quality engineers.
- Advocate for testing best practices and promote a quality-first mindset across the organization.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize the testing lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation and performance testing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automation testing and performance testing.
- Proficiency with automation testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling. - Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Experience with python and, robot framework
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive a culture of quality
