Job Description:
ob Summary: The Specialist Application Development role will be responsible for supporting the Co-dev Environment & bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring smooth and efficient continuous integration and delivery of software updates. he will help automate and streamline processes, manage infrastructure, and monitor system performance to enhance reliability, scalability, and security of the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
· Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and ensure rapid and reliable deployment of applications.
· Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure setups.
· Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
· Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and quick resolution of issues.
· Security: Ensure the security of the infrastructure and applications by implementing best practices and compliance standards.
· Automation: Identify repetitive tasks and automate them to improve efficiency and reduce the potential for human error.
· Troubleshooting and Support: Provide support for production issues, including on-call rotation duties, and perform root cause analysis for incidents to prevent recurrence.
Qualification & Experience
· Azure cloud Engineer knowledge and Certification – more than 3 years experience
· Have Strong Automation focus with sound technical knowledge on RPA tools
· Strong SQL skills will be an added value.
· Strong knowledge on setting CI & CD pipelines leveraging DevOps toolchain.
· Good Knowledge on setting up DevOps using Azure services
· Good Knowledge on design and development of app. databases using relational DB (ORACLE and/or SQL Server) and knowledge on profiling SQL queries using SQL plans, Stats Profile.
· Good exposure on data integration and workflow using ETL tools/stacks.
· Good exposure to OLAP databases, extraction, Optimization techniques and Reporting
· Good Knowledge on building Data / ETL pipelines with different sources like batch, streaming, structured & unstructured
· Good Knowledge on Artifact versioning tools like Nexus and JFrog
· Knowledge in Linux administration skills and Windows
· Experience working in agile/scrum teams.
· Good knowledge on ETL Jobs deployment automation experience
· Good understanding of Git and have been using a Git workflow
· Experience in configuring Azure Networks, Monitoring Resources with Log Analytics, Compute administration, *Implement and Manage Storage and protecting Identities.
· Experience in troubleshooting problems and working with a team to resolve issues.
· Knowledge of best practices and IT operations (include Windows Administration and 3rd party installations)
· Experience with installation and configuration of Application Servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, IIS)
· Experience with installation BI tools such as MicroStrategy
Core Competencies:
· Morning Stand-Up: Participate in daily stand-up meetings with the development and operations teams to discuss progress, roadblocks, and priorities for the day.
· Pipeline Management: Monitor and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring successful builds and deployments. Troubleshoot and resolve any build or deployment failures.
· Infrastructure Management: Use IaC tools to manage and update infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with the latest requirements and best practices.
· Code Reviews: Review code changes related to infrastructure and automation scripts, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices.
· Monitoring and Alerts: Check system monitoring dashboards and alerts to identify and address any performance or availability issues. Implement necessary improvements based on observed metrics.
· Collaboration: Work with developers to integrate new features into the pipeline, providing guidance on infrastructure and automation considerations.
· Documentation: Update and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational procedures to ensure clarity and consistency.
