Job Title: Oracle Applications and System Database Administrator.
Job Summary: Sr. Specialist Database Administrator provides expertise, collaborates with stakeholders, troubleshoots issues, and adheres to company policies and compliance standards, ensuring success and excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Application and System Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in Oracle database administration and support, along with a strong understanding of cloud platforms, high availability solutions, and security compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Install/upgrade Oracle database software, apply patches, refresh DEV/TEST instances from PROD, troubleshoot issues, and manage database capacity.
Tune programs, maintain security, support SOX audits, and collaborate with Oracle Support
Migrate databases to cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, Azure), support cloud database security features, and manage OCI components.
Support Oracle GoldenGate, configure and manage Data Guard, and implement RAC (Real Application Clusters)
Implement encryption using TDE, manage certificates, support vulnerability management tools, and manage DB Vault
SQL and database tuning, use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring, and set up monitoring and alerts
Set up and support RMAN backups.
Handle Production Update Requests (PUR) and manage user creation and deletion.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and Oracle EBS application.
Experience with PostgreSQL and large database management (installation, space management, capacity planning)
Expertise in database patching, upgrades, and data replication management
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting
Linux/Unix server administration
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Azure cloud (for some roles)
RAC and Data Guard setup and management, GoldenGate configuration and support, and export/import for databases
Implementing security measures such as TDE, Voltage, GPG for encryption, DB Vault setup, and vulnerability management
SQL tuning and database performance optimization
Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and RMAN for backups
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and RMAN for backups. Proficiency in using ServiceNow for IT service management.
