Job Overview: We’re hiring a Full Stack engineer having strong experience in architecting and building multi-tiered, Fullstack & distributed systems in cross-platform software engineering and experience with delivering projects. This opportunity will support the transformation of our industry standard order and delivery management systems.
You will drive teams that work (end-to-end) on new and existing solutions ,features, enhancements, and defect resolution on one or more of AT&T’s software systems and platforms. The position requires close collaboration with U.S based Product Management, Business Systems, and Operations teams throughout system development life cycles.
To be successful in this technical leadership role you have an active background in software engineering with extensive frontend ,middleware and databases exposure. When required, you will have the capability to engage at a ‘design & code review’ level.
You will have experience in mentoring and guiding software development teams and are expected to have good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
You will need a deep understanding of software methodologies, architectural models, and the ability to balance technical expertise with business acumen. Ideally, you may have had previous experience in a rapid-growth start-up enterprise.
Alternatively, you have likely worked within an international environment and possess the entrepreneurial mindset to build and successfully guide teams of software engineers.
Core Responsibilities:
• Strong experience in architecting and building multi-tiered, Fullstack & distributed systems.
• Lead deep technical architecture discussions and development of POCs .
• Work with multiple stackholders to create Proof of concepts (POCs) / Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) etc. and guide stakeholder to production deployment and operationalization.
• Knowledge of New & Emerging Technologies to design distributed & highly available for performance solutions.
• Strong Microsot Azure Cloud Experience.
• Ability to achieve & deliver projects by building consensus in a complex & distributed environment
• Solid background with hands-on experience as a Principal-level software development engineer
• Perform assessments and evaluations of existing implementations, offering recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of Software Product
• Extensive experience of mentoring junior engineers to success
• Strong communication skills
• Very positive & pragmatic mindset to get things done
• Support detailed documentation of systems and features
• Act as liaison between external vendors and internal product, business, engineering, and design teams
• Actively participate in coding exercises and peer code reviews as part of the development life cycles and change management
• Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings Skills, Knowledge, and
Experience.
• Extensive full stack engineering experience, with an emphasis on building multi-tiered, Fullstack & distributed systems, ideally a minimum of 8+ years.
• Engineering distributed applications within architectural scenarios such as Web and IoT
• Application design patterns, and anti-patterns, such as MVC, CQRS and/or SAGA
• Strong Knowledge on relational databases (MSSQL,Oracle,MySQL,etc) and NoSQL databases(CosmosDB,Mongo,etc)
• Experience with API platforms and API/workflow orchestration
• Application monitoring and end to end telemetry
• Containers for packaging application deployment units and interacting with container-orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Service Fabric, Cloud Foundry
• Defining CI/CD pipelines to automate test and release across different application environments using concepts such as Blue/Green and Canary deployments and related technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Azure for DevOps)
• Source code management using Git or other source control technologies • Open source technologies and frameworks
Education qualifications:
• Bachelor level degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field of study.
• 7+ years of experience in architecting and building multi-tiered, Fullstack & distributed systems.
• Technical or Professional Certification in Domain
