We are looking for a new Network Field Operations Technician to join our team of technicians in Spain. The core duties of this position require delivering field service at AT&T PoP’s (Point of Presence) within Spain and Portugal.
The scope of onsite tasks:
Core HW Equipment installation (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Hitachi, Ciena, Patch Panels etch) including cabling work either copper and fiber at customer's site
Problem determination and troubleshooting on Network Components
Customer provisioning (Access and Backbone circuits)
Network maintenance and planned work
Circuit measurements and test.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting proposed projects, track detailed plan schedules
Participating in project meetings to support project team
Performing technical analysis of hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools, commands and Data Testers in support of efficient network operations
Managing external interfaces with Telehouse, 3rd party suppliers and main Telco providers for provisioning and maintenance tasks
Managing internal interfaces with SD (Service delivery), PIMs (Project Implementation Manager), NRCs (Network Reliability Center), GAM ( Global Access management) and NP&E ( Network Planning & Engineering).
Directing and controlling the activities of 3rd party field technicians as per AT&T standards
Supporting HW configuration updates
Documenting and reporting action items
Site Survey scheduled to remote POP (National and International) in order to verify quality and status of the site.
Education:
Computer Science or Electronic diploma
Key Competencies required are:
Fluent Spanish and solid English, oral and written.
Knowledge of IP and Telecommunications standards
Understanding of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN)
Wide knowledge of PTT / Carrier technologies and standards (Circuits E1-E3-T3 STMx, Ethernet and Ethernet over SDH/SONET etch.)
Knowledge of testing methodology and usage of test equipment for circuits certification
Fundamental knowledge of Coax Copper and Fibers cabling systems / adapters / interfaces and their installation & handling
Principles of electrical engineering
Excellent in Problem Solving
Car driver’s license and active driver
Team player, well-organized and self-motivated person, capable to take initiatives and responsibilities.
Strongly process- and customer-oriented with high quality result oriented approach
Availability to travel abroad if required

8AM to 6PM CET, required flexibility in working hours for maintenance activities (including nights and weekend)
With ability to work on-call 7x24 hours if necessary
