Seasoned Cybersecurity professional with hands-on penetration testing and red team experience with various network elements. Additional experience with network segmentation, cyber investigations, vulnerability remediation, incident management, and AAA are preferred.
As a Cybersecurity Network Security Engineer, candidate will research adversary tactics, techniques and procedures and impersonate those TTPs to create network attack scenarios leveraging vulnerabilities. Candidate will also participate in recommendations for network hardware and software to design and certify an intent based network. Drive initiatives to embed security into AT&T’s ADI, ASEoD, Fiber and Mobility services, by leveraging our programmable network. The role will also implement security controls, policies and standards for core network that cover: Routing security, network compartmentalization etc., to reduce cyber risks and increase security controls to the core telecom network.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop and execute red team exercises against AT&T’s core telecom network
Research vulnerabilities and exploitation of those vulnerabilities while creating safe but effective test plans to evaluate the risk and probability of vulnerability exploitation
Analyze various hardware and/or software solutions for the core telecom network recommending purchases and identifying modifications to fit AT&Ts cybersecurity risk posture and the needs of our operations teams
Forward looking research, planning and strategy to strengthen our stance against future cyber security threats and enhance our mitigation techniques and technology solutions.
Develop policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion, malware events and vulnerability issues for internal and external customers. Apply measures to identify and block malicious code and applications.
Ideation, testing, proof of concept and support for various cyber related projects
Analyze complex security issues and the development and engineering activities to mitigate risk
Experience with Juniper router, Cisco routers, Palo Alto Firewall, SRX Firewall, Cyber risk, Network Security, Access control lists, BGP route controls and router protection techniques preferred, but not required.
Qualifications:
Degrees considered: Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience. Preferred Bachelors or Masters degree in Offensive Security and/or certifications in ethical hacking.
Requires 8-10 years experience of related experience.
Experience in penetration testing or Red Team exercises required
Experience researching network vulnerabilities and proactively identifying security flaws on various network equipment
Security assessment experience with ability to thrive on US and MOW telecom wirelines/wireless network security concepts
5G Network Core experience preferred
Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week) at one of the listed locations. No relocation assistance is provided
Our Principal Cybersecurity earns between $141,300-$237,400 annually, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
