JOB TITLE: Sr Member Tech Staff - Network Design & Development Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 200 S. Laurel Ave., Middletown, New Jersey 07748

DUTIES: Support the design of next generation network supporting AT&T’s mobile, broadband and enterprise networks. Design and plan network systems, as well as provide specifications and

detailed schematics for network architecture. Deliver specific and detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Coordinate requirements and reviews across partner organizations in product, engineering, and operations. Ideate specifications and present new or improved high and low-level architecture and designs for network-based capabilities or implementations. Interface with operations, planning, product and engineering teams to understand and refine requirements and translate them to detailed software and network requirements. Oversee, organize, and lead network development for production systems. Provide or contribute to design documents. Participate or lead project meetings to report on progress, uncover/resolve issues, and ensure that the work product meets the needs of the service. Work in routing and switching protocol BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, multicast, SRv6, CoS/QoS, EVPN, VxLAN, VRRP, VPLS, FXC, and Psuedowire. Design and deploy multivendor network solutions. Work with Cisco IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, Arista EOS and Nokia SR-OS. Design of Layer 3 ISP PE routers supporting mobile, broadband, and enterprise network services. Design Layer 2 access networks supporting mobile, broadband, and enterprise networks. Work with data center networking including security implementations. Conduct proof-of-concept and design validation in a lab with hands-on configuration and testing using vendor products. Define requirements to design highly innovative solutions. Program physical and virtual traffic generators. Utilize network diagnostic and analyzer tools including Spirent, IXIA, and TRex. Demonstrate knowledge of physical and logical compute components. Apply knowledge of information security principles and practices. Define APIs to automate configuration and enable MACD capabilities and development of data models. Configure and manage configurations using tools including Ansible, Salt, or other configuration management/automation frameworks. Create, manage, and deploy docker containers and Kubernetes ensuring efficient, consistent, and scalable software operations across various virtualization environments. Implement Full-Stack development skills (in Python, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Databases, etc.) to create web-based utilities and tools to resolve complex/day-to-day operating challenges. Utilize front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related libraries. Develop and interact with RESTful APIs. Work in back-end development using Python Flask and Django Framework. Create and manage databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Work with Git.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Informational Technology, or Telecommunications and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in a related occupation working in routing and switching protocol BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, multicast, SRv6, CoS/QoS, EVPN, VxLAN, VRRP, VPLS, FXC, and Psuedowire; designing and deploying multivendor network solutions; working with Cisco IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, Arista EOS and Nokia SR-OS; designing of Layer 3 ISP PE routers supporting mobile, broadband, and enterprise network services; designing Layer 2 access networks supporting mobile, broadband, and enterprise networks; working with data center networking including security implementations; conducting proof-of-concept and design validation in a lab with hands-on configuration and testing using vendor products; defining requirements to design highly innovative solutions; programming physical and virtual traffic generators; utilizing network diagnostic and analyzer tools including Spirent, IXIA, and TRex; working with physical and logical compute components; utilizing information security principles and practices; defining APIs to automate configuration and enable MACD capabilities and development of data models; configuring and managing configurations using tools including Ansible, Salt, or other configuration management/automation frameworks; creating, managing, and deploying docker containers and Kubernetes ensuring efficient, consistent, and scalable software operations across various virtualization environments; utilizing programing languages
