Our Network Team supports the customer by designing, deploying, and managing a bespoke network with security at that forefront. The small, agile team is responsible for a network that is highly important and visible to customer leadership.
AT&T has an opening for a Network Management Lead to support the Intelligence Sector.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Leadership and providing direction to a small team of software and cloud engineers including System Admins
Provide architecture design and decision-making
Coordination with network design leaders
Develop and maintain services including web, development, configuration management, etc.
Design, implement, test, and support network management based applications and documents design ideas
Participate in requirement gathering sessions
Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making
Configures and tunes application servers
Participate in production troubleshooting and issue correction for applications after the production implementations
Participates in production issues remediation and troubleshooting as needed
Solve complex production issues
Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
Required Clearance:
TS/SCI with poly (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years of experience OR Masters and 10 years, Bachelors and 12 years, Associates and 14 years or HS and 16 years.
Strong Unix/Linux system knowledge and administrator experience
5+ years of tooling and automation development experience
Solid understanding of Layer 1-4 fundamental protocols
Knowledge on network device configuration and management a plus
Knowledge of Unit Test framework a plus
Knowledge of Cisco
Knowledge of standard networking monitoring technologies (SNMP, *Flow, etc.) a plus
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
Desired Qualifications
Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.
Ability to clearly articulate ideas for executive – level as well as technical staff consumption.
Knowledge of Agile & Scrum Methodologies preferred
Applicable programming and analysis certifications desired
Intermediate or higher knowledge of Python or any other complied language such as Java
Extended knowledge of API design (JSON, REST, etc.)
3-5 years of experience with web application development
2-3 years of database experience
SQL
Experience in configuration development on Management Software (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef, etc.) a plus
Our Network Management Lead's earn between $130,000 - $150,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
