This position is part of a specialized Finance Team responsible for supporting the Professional Services segment of AT&T Federal utilizing the Deltek Costpoint system. The Principal: Financial Analysis - Accounts Payable is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices, expense reports, vendor payments, and refunds totaling more than 450M annually. This role involves collaboration with purchasing teams, program managers, vendors, and corporate finance teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance financial processes. Additionally, the position supports system upgrades, audits, and compliance with corporate financial policies.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Dotted line supervision of two Accounts Payable Specialists.
Review and verify all Accounts Payable documents (invoices, expense reports, refund checks, and corrections) to ensure proper accounting, approval and compliance with Federal regulations, AT&T Policy and the AT&T Schedule of Authorizations.
Audit of employee expense reports to ensure compliance with AT&T Policy and the Federal Joint Travel Regulations.
Collaborate with purchasing, program managers, and vendors to resolve invoice and purchase order (PO) discrepancies.
Maintain digital documentation and filing systems for audit and compliance purposes.
Respond to employee and vendor inquiries regarding payment status via email and phone.
Manage vendor setup and maintenance in CostPoint, including new vendor registrations for non-PO vendors as needed.
Assist with system upgrades for corporate financial systems, including CostPoint.
Support government audit teams by retrieving and reviewing relevant financial documents.
Work closely with program teams and corporate finance on vendor term waivers and expedited payments.
Generation of Accounts Payable Interface Process (APIP) files and transmission to Corporate AP for payment processing.
Process payment details in CostPoint for payments paid via an automated feed.
Coordinate with IT and corporate teams to manage financial data feeds from Corporate and other sources for employee expense reports and invoice payments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or work equivalent.
5-10 years Accounts Payable experience in the Federal government contracting environment
Strong proficiency with CostPoint.
Experience working with corporate financial processes, audits, and government compliance.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors, and corporate finance.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Our Principal Financial Analysis earn between $98,100 - $228,600. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
