Overall Purpose: Support optimization of corporate tax compliance and reporting processes ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Assist in maintenance of tax records, and preparation of assigned tax returns and reports.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Tax Compliance: Ensure the organization adheres to federal, state, and local tax regulations. Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns. Review and update tax compliance processes as necessary. • Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize liabilities. Advise senior management on the tax implications of business decisions. Stay updated with current tax laws and regulations. • Audit Support and Financial Reporting: Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from authorities. Prepare tax provisions for financial statements and collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax positions. • Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research on complex tax issues. Analyze the impact of new tax laws and regulations on the organization. • Other Duties as Assigned: Complete additional projects and tasks as directed by department leadership, which may include process improvement initiatives, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining accurate tax records.
Job Contribution: An experienced professional with in-depth knowledge, applying organizational practices to resolve moderately difficult problems. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 2+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
