AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and optimize WAN solutions to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity across multiple locations.
Configuration Management: Configure and manage WAN devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor WAN performance, identify issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve network problems promptly.
Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data transmitted across the WAN. This includes setting up VPNs, encryption, and access controls.
Performance Optimization: Analyze network traffic and optimize WAN performance to ensure high availability and minimal latency.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of the WAN infrastructure, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Generate regular reports on network performance and health. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including LAN administrators, server administrators, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network.
Upgrades and Maintenance: Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to keep the WAN infrastructure up-to-date and secure.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for network services, equipment, and support.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure network resiliency and business continuity in case of network failures or emergencies.

Required Qualifications:
Experience: Several years of experience in network administration, with a focus on WAN technologies and infrastructure.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or similar credentials.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing WAN technologies, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions. Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often preferred.

Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations
Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations
Our Senior Wide Area Network (WAN) Administrator's earn between $63,700 -$93,872. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
