Overall Purpose: Manage International Tax operations (mainly Latin America) including compliance with direct and indirect tax filings prepared by external service provider and monitoring changes in tax laws. Perform comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions by analyzing and interpreting tax legislation, ensuring regulatory adherence and strategic tax efficiency to minimize the organization’s legal tax liabilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Tax Compliance and Reporting: Manage external service providers to oversee and ensure accurate, timely preparation and submission of all income, VAT and other direct and indirect South America tax returns. Review tax provisions contained in customer agreements and contracts to ensure tax efficiency and compliance with all applicable tax laws. Support billing operations to determine correct taxes on customer invoices, support customer account managers to determine the most tax efficient billing arrangements including implications of cross border billing. Provide support for local statutory audits and related inquiries.
• Tax Strategy and Planning: Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise on tax implications of business decisions.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Work with regional international tax teams to complete quarterly operating tax package. Manage the income tax and operating tax budgets.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 7 + years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
