Our Principal Network Project/Program Managers are responsible for all aspects of technical project and program management that are more network focused and not IT or Software Delivery related. Projects and programs are typically high value long term strategic projects that involve new and/or enhancing technology, are highly complex, and require tight coordination and integration with multiple organizations and suppliers. Provides overall direction and technical or analytical guidance to project and program teams that typically span multiple organizations and may also include outside suppliers/vendors. Recommends and takes action to direct problem analysis resolution within time and resource constraints.
As a Principal Network Project/Program Manager, on AT&T’s Tower Strategy team, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and execution of AT&T's National High Rent Relocation (HRR) program. You will demonstrate strategic planning, project management, and process improvement to ensure successful tower relocations.
This role ensures accountability, fosters strong relationships with senior leadership, and drives cost savings through efficient project execution and budget management. An expertise in telecom infrastructure and vendor management are essential for achieving business objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Planning:
Leading the strategic funnel of projects, ensuring a healthy pipeline for future relocation opportunities, and optimizing project outcomes to meet IRR expectations and deliver strategic and operational benefits
Program Execution:
Conducting regular program/project management meetings with vendors and team project managers to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure timely completion of key milestones
Vendor Ecosystem Management:
Maintaining and optimizing the vendor ecosystem, determining the timing, method, and allocation of project assignments to vendors
Process Improvement:
Providing support and guidance to other project managers and vendors on process improvement initiatives, enhancing overall program efficiency
Issue Resolution:
Identifying and mitigating risks, bottlenecks, and challenges to ensure smooth project execution
Executive Reporting:
Preparing and presenting detailed performance reports and strategic updates to senior leadership, including quarterly and bi-annual readouts
Required Experience:
7+ years of related experience
Certification is required in some areas
Desired Education:
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science or Engineering preferred
Environmental Requirements:
This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
