About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team. This role will involve providing comprehensive support for a variety of systems and applications, ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations support, programming, and DevOps, with the ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 24/7 support for production systems and applications, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
Monitor system performance and respond to incidents promptly, following established procedures for resolution.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and updates.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deploy new releases and updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, database connectivity, and server configurations.
Document support activities, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Participate in shift rotations, ensuring continuous support coverage.
Implement and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks using Python Scripting and Shell Scripting.
Administer and support web applications developed using JavaScript, Java/JSP (webapp).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in operations support, system administration, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
Understanding of SDLC .
Experience with database management and administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Java, PHP, JavaScript, Python, Shell).
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and configuration management tools (Terraform, Chef).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in a rotational shift environment, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with web application development and support.
Knowledge of production operations best practices.
Previous experience in a 24/7 support environment.
