We are seeking aLead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineerto ensure the quality and functionality of applications and interfaces through rigorous testing practices. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Leadership:
Lead QA initiatives, manage teams, and uphold quality standards across all testing processes.
Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance.
Testing and Automation:
Design, build, and execute automated and manual test suites.
Perform various types of testing, including functional, performance, security, and mobile/web application testing.
Utilize tools such as Selenium, JIRA, and Jenkins to implement and manage testing strategies.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align QA efforts with business and technical requirements.
Communicate testing results and provide actionable recommendations.
Problem-Solving and Support:
Identify, analyze, and resolve software issues during testing.
Ensure continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
DevOps and CI/CD Integration:
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
Support DevOps practices to improve automation and deployment processes.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience:
5+ years of QA experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role preferred.
Hands-on experience in automation testing and familiarity with tools like Selenium, Ginger, or similar.
Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or Unix scripting.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL database design and management.
Knowledge of application architecture and microservices testing.
Industry Expertise:
Experience in the telecommunications industry and cross-portfolio knowledge is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of software architecture, testing methodologies, and debugging techniques.
Familiarity with Agile methodology and DevOps practices.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and monitoring tools.
Soft Skills
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams, manage conflicts, and drive projects to completion.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Ability to multitask and proactively manage priorities in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Certifications
ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board).
Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST).
Our Lead Quality Assurance, earns between $118,800.00-$178,200.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
