JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer
REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Pkwy., Plano, TX 75075 [hybrid position]
Lead software Engineering needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Plano, Texas [hybrid position] to design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the solution and its interfaces. Work with portfolio stakeholders, solution, and enterprise architects to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Drive and participate in code and document reviews and mentor team in best practices. Collaborate with peer organizations, dev ops, and support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. Interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimates. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved. Work with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently. Apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems. Focus on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes. Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software. Contribute to technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resource, and quality constraints to achieve business and strategic goals and requirements. Work in engineering or development roles. Work on application delivery. Build Java-based high-volume/high-transaction e-commerce applications. Build web applications using Java, Spring, REST and Full stack development. Utilize Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Spring Cloud config, Cassandra, Restful Web Services, Docker, and Kubernetes. Utilize Junit, Mockito, SoapUI, and Postman. Utilize Maven, GitHub, and Jenkins. Utilize SQL and NoSQL database systems. Utilize data analysis skills. Utilize Agile development practices including unit tests and code reviews. Develop high throughput, scalable, and systems.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Applied Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation working in engineering or development roles; working on application delivery; building Java-based high-volume/high-transaction e-commerce applications; building web applications using Java, Spring, and REST; working on performance tuning and application monitoring; developing high throughput, scalable, and systems; utilizing SQL and NoSQL database systems; utilizing data analysis skills.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Applied Computer Science and 3 years of experience in the job offered, or 3 years of experience in a related occupation working in engineering or development roles; working on application delivery; building Java-based highvolume/high-transaction e-commerce applications; building web applications using Java, Spring, and REST; working on performance tuning and application monitoring; developing high throughput, scalable, and systems; utilizing SQL and NoSQL database systems; utilizing data analysis skills.
Our Lead Software Engineers earn between $166,425 - $215,800 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
