This position requires senior-level experience and expertise in eCommerce design, technology ecosystems, and application development. The role focuses on delivering technical solutions that align with business requirements while optimizing functionality, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of hands-on technical experience and the ability to design within constraints while understanding the broader implications of ecosystem changes and enhancements.
Key Requirements:
eCommerce Design and Solutioning Expertise:
Proven experience in designing and implementing eCommerce solutions.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions tailored to eCommerce environments.
Technology Ecosystem Understanding:
Comprehensive knowledge of operations, engineering, infrastructure, and design.
Capability to analyze and understand the high-level flow of entire ecosystems and anticipate the impacts of changes or enhancements across the system.
Design Expertise Within Constraints:
Skilled in balancing technical and business constraints to produce optimal designs and solutions.
Adept at creating designs that align with resource, budget, and timeline limitations while maintaining functionality and performance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Define subsystems and their interfaces.
Elaborate designs for specific components and allocate responsibilities to subsystems.
Understand solution deployment and communicate requirements for interactions within the solution context.
Technical Direction:
Align development teams to a shared technical direction and collaborate on solution elaboration and interfaces.
Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives.
Establish critical non-functional requirements (NFRs) at the solution level and assist in defining others.
Continuous Delivery Pipeline:
Participate in planning, definition, and high-level system design while exploring alternatives.
Develop the Architectural Runway to support new business features and capabilities.
Collaborate with portfolio stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architects to analyze, split, and implement enablers.
Integration and Collaboration:
Understand technical characteristics and assist with the architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms.
Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, and retrospective workshops.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
5-8 years of technology experience, with a primary focus on middle-tier applications.
Priorapplication development and engineering experience, showcasing hands-on expertise in delivering solutions across the technology stack.
A strategic mindset, with the ability to understand high-level ecosystem workflows and anticipate implications of changes or enhancements.
Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math.
Our Lead System Engineering, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
