What you'll do as a Customer Engineer Band One: - Perform scheduled installations on complex networked computing solutions for mid-range and high-end servers, associated peripherals, and LAN/WAN networking equipment - Perform remedial maintenance on complex networked computing solutions for mid-range and high-end servers, associated peripherals, and LAN/WAN networking equipment - Interact with specific commercial and/or internal customer. Our Customer Engineer Band I technicians start off earning between $17.42 to $29.97 per hour. With our amazing wage opportunities, our average starting earnings begin at $62,348 per year. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Additional details for the Customer Engineer Band I position includes but are not limited to the following:
Installs complex server-based systems verifying operation of components, and interoperability of system to the operating system. -Responsible for all aspects of network connectivity, i.e. cross connects, patch cords, etc. Installs complex networking components such as routers, switches, hubs, and other networking equipment, assuring interoperability and connectivity of components to acceptable level of operation. -Maintains servers and networking components. Performs routine maintenance and applies system/component upgrades and updates. (May include loading software and software drivers). Performs operational tests for servers and network components. (Utilizes testing equipment such as fluke, lanmeter, and one touch units.) Ability to synthesize all aspects of old technology into new technology. -May be dispatched to customer site. -Diagnoses failures and repairs complex faults returning system to proper operation. -Monitors line and/or equipment to determine system protocol and line conditions. Refers line problems to appropriate organization. -Collects data, identifies the problem, evaluates information and develops optimal plan of action. Explains steps to be performed to customer including status and estimated restoral time. -Explains technical information in laymen's terms to customer and corporate personnel. -Interprets work orders and/or engineering documents/diagrams. Prepares written operational instructions. -Verifies proper completion of orders. Computes total work time in order to account for financial requirements of work time where necessary. -Assembles work orders. Prepares time and material ticket. Inventories material and records related information. Selects appropriate tools. Coordinates and verifies correct delivery of equipment. Assures proper billing. -May set up and direct the work of lower level and/or peer technicians. -Performs other related duties as assigned.
Our Customer Engineer Band I technicians must have the following:

Meet 275 lbs weight limit due to safety restrictions
